Wendy Hedrick- Head Diving Coach
Hi! My name is Wendy Hedrick and I am the Souderton Aquatic’s dive coach. My experience in diving started at the age of seven. I spent my life at the pool and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I was a diver on the Souderton Aquatic Club in the winter and in the summer I was on the Harleysville Swim Team. When I reached Souderton high school I continued to dive on the high school team and following that into college. My career as a diver stretched over 13 years! I have had the opportunity over the years to coach for Pennridge, Souderton Aquatic, Souderton School District, and Harleysville Swim Team. I am a busy mom of three girls and I am also a Human Resource Manager full time for CMI. Some say I am crazy because I am also in school full time! I enjoy working with children of all ages and to see their smiling faces on the pool deck every night makes me proud to be a part of something so special.
Amanda Goldcamp- Assistant US Swim Coach:
Coach Amanda started swimming at age 5 to 18 for Harleysville Swim Team. Since Souderton High School didn't have a pool yet complete. I winter swam for North Penn YMCA, then Perkiomen Valley for a few years. However, I was part of the original Seahawk team that was started in 1989-1990, so from 5th grade to high school I swam on the Seahawks. In high school I was part of team of Souderton Girls High School team that placed overall third in the state. I then swam for Elizabethtown College. My favorite event was the 1650(mile) and placed first at the 1650 MAC Championships where I helped the women's take the MAC Champions. I started my coaching career at age 15 for the Harleysville Swim Team for around ten years. I did help out coaching the Seahawks a few seasons as well at Souderton Boys High School team for one season. I then took a little break to get married and have my three children; Morgan 10, Avery 9, and Henry 6. I have been also teaching 3rd grade at Quakertown Elementary for the past 19 years. I also coach the Harleysville Swim Team in the summer.
